When the DV-8 was introduced to the market in the early 90s by the Aachen-based manufacturer Phoenix, it was - well - strange. Today it is an absolute rare piece: a classic delta kite with extra large flaps for quad line flying.
And that works amazingly well! Propeller spins are not its thing, but crisp corners, sharp stalls and sudden stops just above the ground are as easy as controlled reverse flying.
So we decided to relaunch the DV-8 - courtesy of Tom Jeckel of Phoenix Airsports. A bit more modern, but basically you are flying the kite from back then.
