My favourite kite(s)

It's hard for me to talk about just ONE favorite kite. That's because I like kites for different reasons. Which one do I most enjoy flying? Which one do I find lovable, maybe because it's especially original? Which kite do I love for its color and graphics? Yes, I admit it, looks matter to me too, and not just with single-line kites! Even a cool name is a factor for me….
With the Maraca light, I'm sure to get the attention of everyone on the field, because I bring out this steerable delta exactly when others have to pack their kites away. It's built so light that it still flies its elegant, precise paths even in almost no wind. On top of that, its simplicity looks fantastic! In my opinion, the colors, graphics, and flying qualities all fit together perfectly, which makes the Maraca light a perfect example of how everything can come together just right.

I also find the KIRKs beautiful in color, especially the blue and yellow ones together. These single-line kites are based on traditional Afghan fighter kites, so they not only create a beautiful picture in the sky but also tell a story.

Among the kids' kites, Hermann the dragon touches my heart – because whenever I look at him, I'm never quite sure if he's trying to scare me or if he's actually the one who's scared. He also looks a bit messy and not fully put together. I think that's very wise, in a way. For me, Hermann reflects a part of the human soul.

The stunt kite Tomboy is a loyal companion for every day, but it's also full of contrasts. On one hand, this high-quality all-rounder is solid and dependable, but on the other hand, it's also great for tricks, so you can do more with it than just hang out at the beach – you can keep improving step by step. I also like how down-to-earth Tomboy is, and since I found out it should actually be called THE Tomboy, I like it even more. A "tomboy" is a word for a wild, lively girl who acts like a typical boy and doesn't fit the usual ideas of how girls "should" behave. That's great!
